If you’re interested in taking the plunge with a dive centre or scaling cliffs with a rock climbing company, you want to make sure that you’re in good hands. How can you be sure that the safety standards are up to scratch and that you are paying the regular & best price? 34-year old French traveler, Florian set up a website called eOasia which helps backpackers to find the best adventure trips in Asia. He and his team try and test every trip! Has he got the best job in the world?

It’s rare to find a hostel that has it all. Buzzing social scene, cleanliness, comfy beds, good design, friendly staff, great travel info, delicious food and awesome drinks deals. As budget conscious backpackers, we’ve learnt not to set our expectations too high! However, The Mad Monkey Hostel, Siem Reap and its sister hostels in Phnom Pehn and Kampot, Cambodia, seem to have all of these – and more! What really caught our attention, however, are the amazing social projects that the hostel's involved in, in terms of helping the local community...

Experienced backpackers will likely remember the olden days when the small mountainous village of Vang Vieng, Laos was overtaken by rowdy backpackers floating down the Nam Song River in rubber tubes stopping at bar after bar along the way. Things got out of hand and the world of tubing changed a bit. Now in Thailand, Chiang Mai Tubing and Beach Club has emerged with an entirely different idea of tubing.
